This project consisted of the replacement of the entire roof, windows and skylights adjacent to the roof were also replaced. The project was completed as part of the MSBA’s accelerated repair program.
Phase I: Demolition and removal of existing ACT ceiling and fixtures; repair and painting of existing ceiling and walls; and new lighting system.
Phase II: New acoustic wall panels.
The Grandstands at Massachusetts Maritime Academy’s Clean Harbors Stadium were completed by Civitects in 2010
Civitects was retained by the University to transform existing office spaces into a new Computational Science Lab and conference room on the first floor of the Textile Building. By eliminating the existing office spaces, Civitects was able to develop an open plan for the lab and incorporate new computer workstations and a lounge area. Work included the construction of new partitions, ceiling and floor finishes, an overhead projector, and tackable wall surfaces in the corridor immediately outside the space. Improved security measures were considered and new doors were equipped with access control. Existing electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems were also modified for the new lab.
This project consisted of the replacement of the academy’s existing roof system with a new PVC membrane roof. Also included in the project was the replacement of all exterior doors and windows with aluminum storefront and aluminum windows.
